The
Six Archive Libraries
Most cataloging software programs force collectors to type an exhaustive amount of information when describing their album collection. This limits the usability of these cataloging software programs. As a unique alternative, Maestro Managers pre-programmed scrollable lists all but eliminate typing. Although these scrollable lists empower an expeditious means to enter album descriptions, Maestro's archive libraries provide an even faster method. Pre-Entered

An Archive 1. American Label Archive: 165 albums total. This archive includes albums from Everest, Columbia, Reference Recordings, Sheffield Lab, Mobile Fidelity, Analogue Productions, Westminster, and Wilson Audiophile. 2. British Composer Archive: 87 albums total. This archive includes albums from Lyrita, Conifer, Albany, Chandos, and HNH. 3. British Label Archive: 390 albums total. This archive includes albums from London, EMI, and Decca. In addition, you can create descriptions of many albums on the Decca SXL label via use of the directions below. In many instances, the pre-entered descriptions of the London recordings indicate Mr. Robert Moon's and Mr. Michael Gray's numerical ratings for performance and sound. NOTE: Many albums on Decca have an equivalent album on London. If a Decca album is not in this archive, but the equivalent London is, you can create a description of the Decca album. The Decca/London Cross Index indicates whether the equivalent London album is in the archive. If so, add the London album to your database. Then complete the album description by editing the manufacturer from "London" to "Decca", the label from "CS" to "SXL", and enter the appropriate catalog number. 4. Mercury Archive: 224 albums total from Mercury Records. In many instances, the pre-entered descriptions of these recordings indicate whether Mr. Sid Marks recommended an album and notes, if applicable, the album's numerical ranking in his list of the top Living Presence recordings. 5. RCA Archive: 398 albums total. This archive includes albums from RCA, Chesky, and Classic Records. In addition, you can create descriptions of other Classic Records albums via use of the directions below. In many instances, the pre-entered descriptions indicate whether Mr. Jonathan Valin and/or Mr. James Mitchell recommended an album. Also indicated are the 52 albums in Mr. Marks' list of the top 52 Living Stereo albums, including their respective numerical ranking. For Mr. Mitchell's recommendations, only albums rated a 10+ or above are indicated. As an astute listener, Mr. Valin recommends that a specific pressing of some albums sound better than other pressings. In many instances, those recommendations are indicated. NOTE: Should you own other albums on Classic Records, you can create descriptions of those albums from the pre-entered descriptions of the same albums on RCA. That is, create a description of the RCA album, then edit that album, changing the manufacturer from "RCA" to "Classic Records". Or if you own both the RCA and Classic recordings of an album, create a description of the RCA album, then use Copy to create a description of the equivalent Classic album. 6. The Entire Archive: 1264 albums total, which includes all of the albums available in the individual archives described above. In addition, you can generate album descriptions for many Decca SXL and Classic Records albums not contained within this archive. Refer to the Notes in the British Label and RCA Archives above.
